"We came from the U.S. and had numerous day trips planned. We were able to go to Aberdare and Myrther Tydfil (where my ancestors lived) and the Brecon Beacons in the north. We visited St. David's Cathedral in the west and Gower, Mumbles, and Swansea to the south. The location was perfect for seeing all of South Wales. And it was wonderful to return each evening to such a beautiful cottage that had everything we needed. Each morning, I would take my tea and breakfast out to the side patio and plan our day listening to the water tumble by. Fiona was so welcoming and was a great help with advice and information and maps about where we wanted to go. I highly recommend Cwmshon Cottages!

"Loved Cwmshon Cottages! Clean, comfortable and well appointed! Fiona is a delight and will provide whatever travel advice you require. The cake and honey were nice touches as well as the lovely fresh flowers. The bedrooms are good sized and the kitchen is well stocked. Don't pass up a chance to stay here if exploring Wales and the Gower Coast!"

A wonderful comfy cottage awaited us after our long journey from Germany and Cardiff. It made us feel at home the minute we arrived and all the small traditional features really made the difference. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back one day. Thank you very much for your warm and lovely welcome - it really was a pleasure to have Fiona and her husband as a host who were always willing to help with sightseeing tips but also kept their distance so you could enjoy the beauty of the cottage on your own.
I'd highly recommend staying at Cwmshon Cottages if you're on the lookout for a high quality and beautiful accomodation in a location that's easy to reach. The cottage is wonderfully furnished, has an amazing Welsh staircase and great wooden bathroom. Absolutely worth a visit.

"FIVE STARS - Exceptional - A Little Slice of Heaven!”

" Fiona and Andrew have created a truly wonderful environment for guests. A mix of very high-quality mod cons and thoughtful and creative charm make this a very special treat. Everything was incredibly clean and tidy, the garden was beautiful with the sound of running water from the adjacent stream. Thank you for the extreme care you take with guests in your wonderful home away from home. Every room and item has been put together with such care that it is genuinely a destination in and of itself. The bedding; the bath; the fire; the kitchen (what style of coffee would you like? You have multiple ways to make coffee); the beautifully restored parquet floor and walls .... you couldn't ask for much more. Our names were waiting for us on the door, and Fiona went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I can tell you take a lot of passion in making things perfect and if only other cottage owners would use you as a reference .... we will definitely be back and in a weekend you are just scratching the surface of the Gower area with so many places to explore. You will be impressed! ".

“A great vacation in beautiful surroundings!”

" We have enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we took lots of trips to the beaches - Three Cliffs Bay was our favourite. The visit to Big Pit National Coal mining Museum was a great experience. We all enjoyed every day in wonderful Wales and we feel that we have to come back some time, there is still so much to see and experience. Thank you for your hospitality Fiona and Andrew! "
