"A LUXURIOUS GETAWAY"

"A luxurious getaway amidst epic scenery and a true MUST for any lover of traditional British holiday-making.”

Cwmshon Cottages offer something for everyone. We traveled to Wales on business, looking for locations to shoot a feature film. Although familiar with South Wales, we were still amazed by the beauty of the epic scenery. We visited Pontardawe Golf Club, which is situated five minutes by car and just a short walk from the cottages. Any golfer would go green with envy when hitting a few balls on the driving range, which gives visitors a spectacular view of the Swansea Valley. Hiking along the historic Swansea Canal into the town centre of Pontardawe will give visitors a chance to meet the friendly locals, whilst avoiding traffic roads. The town offers cultural events, restaurants and bars as well as an award-winning butcher's and regular shops. All in all it is a true Welsh experience. Children will enjoy both the many things one can see on a walk as well as the exciting places to visit on the Gower Peninsula, in Swansea and also in Cardiff, which is only a 45 min drive from Pontardawe.
The cottages are beautifully refurbished and exude a very Welsh atmosphere. Everything is hand-crafted and the utilities offer the kind of home-away-from-home feeling, that makes one feel very much at ease. The Ricksons are very helpful and welcoming and offer much advice on all the things to see in the area.
We will definitely be back for more.

"EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY"

“Excellent place to stay”

Excellent and well equipped cottage for a family holiday with bikes and a dog. We had a great time exploring the local cycleway as well as venturing into the Brecon Beacons and the Gower coastline. We enjoyed meals out at some of the great local eateries as well as visiting the local first class butcher who does some fantastic sausages and bacon. The cottage is very well equipped and cozy, has loads of character and the owners have provided loads of information to ensure you get the most out of your stay..
