Fantastic facilities

A cottage with everything you thought you needed for a week away, and a few extras too. We received a warm welcome from the owners who live just next door, along with a cake (and chocolates for the children). There was plenty of wood for the log fire and the house was lovely and warm with the central heating. Garden was very small (which we didn't need in October anyway) - only big enough for a picnic table and a really useful storage/drying shed.

The cottage provided good access to nearby sites - we went to the Brecon Beacons and the Gower as well as Swansea - there's lots to do in the area, both indoors and out. The cottage had masses of tourist information, maps and books - we had to be selective on what we read, or we wouldn't have gone anywhere! Particularly useful were very comprehensive directions for a back route to the Gower, so you didn't get snarled up in Swansea.
