What a special cottage !

It was a wonderful base for our " ancestry tour " in South Wales.
Fiona's personal attention to every detail makes such a difference.

Our 4 nights were not long enough to stay in this delightful cottage, so well equiped and clean beyond expectation. The warm welcome, plus honey and cake was a very special personal touch.
We would sincerely suggest anyone looking for accommodation in this vicinity could do no better. The owners are to be congratuated for their efforts. If we are over from Australia again we know we will revisit !

Beautiful Cottage

We stayed at Cwmshon Cottages in July 2011 and could not fault the property at all. Every small detail had been thought of to make this a real 'home from home'

The cottage was immaculately clean and comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome by the owners.

I would wholeheartedly recommend these cottages and we are looking forward to returning soon.

Christmas in Wales

We arrived in the snow for a Christmas family break to be welcomed by a roaring wood burner which set the scene for the week. The cottage was more spacious than some we have stayed in, providing more than enough room for myself and my wife, four teenagers and dog.

The cottage was very well equipped with and felt very homely. Off street parking made the food shopping trips very easy, with the local shops and large supermarket a 5 minute drive away. The provision of free wi-fi kept the boys happy, and the log burner provided better entertainment than the TV for the evenings.

The walk in to Pontardawe along the river is very pleasant and the local shops and pubs welcoming and varied. The Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons are on the door step nearly, with the Gower coast half an hour away. If it had been the summer the local golf clubs looked well worth a visit. We had a very pleasant relaxing week here having enjoyed the comfort of the cottage in a Welsh winter. We did manage to have a large family get together for Christmas lunch, for which the owners helped with extra chairs with no problem at all.

Gorgeous cottages in a beautiful location

We had a fabulous few days in this cottage. We were really comfortable and the fire was a real treat. Everything in the house has been carefully thought out and we enjoyed an extremely relaxing break.

Fiona was so helpful and there was a lovely folder of suggested walks etc which made it really easy for us to choose what to do each day.

We wish we could have been there longer! We really hope to return ourselves this year.

We have had an amazing weekend here!

We have had an amazing weekend here! What a relaxing, soothing cottage. So great we haven't even left the house! Free wi-fi, comfy (and gorgeous) antique furniture, and I've been keeping the log fire burning all day. Very satisfying. We'll be back, and I can recommend Cwmshon Cottages to anyone.

Thanks to Fiona and Andrew for a great weekend break.

Wow, can't wait to go back!

This is the second time we've stayed at the cottage and I can't wait to go back!

The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard, is well equipped and the cleanliness is second to none.

There is a log burner with plenty of wood supplied for warm, cosy nights. The beds are comfortable and have lovely bedding. I must also mention that the water pressure of the shower is amazing!

Now the important bit, you are made to feel so welcome at this property. Fiona is one of the nicest people you'd meet and it has to be said a brilliant cake maker (our first visit we had Bara Brith, which I didn't think could be topped until we had the Apple Cake - yum!). The amount of thought that has gone into the tourist information, maps and walks is incredible and no-one who stays here could say they didn't know what to do!

Thanks for another great time.
